Hacienda Dorada is located on the northern slopes of the Santa Ana volcano—also known as Ilamatepec—in one of the key regions that define the renowned Salvadoran coffee profile. Volcanic soils, high altitude, and a significant temperature differential between day and night create conditions where coffee cherries ripen more slowly, resulting in a more complex flavor profile. The farm spans approximately 230 hectares and cultivates a wide variety of Arabica cultivars, including Red, Yellow, and Orange Bourbon, Gesha, Java, Pacamara, Maragogipe, and others. This genetic diversity allows for the production of a broad spectrum of cup profiles—ranging from classic, sweet Bourbons to more complex and vibrant lots. Hacienda Dorada is associated with Víctor Hernández, an expert in coffee agribusiness, sustainability, and producer relations in El Salvador. His expertise encompasses not only coffee production but also farm economics, financing, and the development of coffee projects. An interesting detail: Hacienda Dorada is evolving beyond a simple farm into a comprehensive coffee enterprise—covering everything from cultivation and processing to its own brand, "Bean of Fire," and the export of coffee to international markets. What makes this particularly compelling is the combination of the volcanic terroir of Santa Ana, a vast array of Arabica varieties, and a modern approach to farm management—reflecting a systematic, farm-wide commitment to quality. ‎
