CAFEC ABACA Filter Paper Cup4 paper filters are designed for use in V60 type pour-over machines for 2-4 cups. The Cup4 size is used to brew 2-4 servings of coffee. CAFEC filters have a “double-sided crepe” due to the original paper manufacturing technology, thanks to which they can retain a sufficient layer of air between the paper and the pour-over machine so that the coffee extract can pass through the filter material in the contact areas at an acceptable speed. It is made of non-wood ABACA material (Manila hemp) and wood pulp, which is obtained on the basis of a reforestation project. Therefore, ABACA filter paper can be called environmentally friendly. It has good air permeability, strength and elasticity. ABACA fiber is four times stronger than conventional cellulose fiber, while it is half as thin. ABACA material is also authorized by JHDC (Japan Hand-Drip Championship) as a high-quality filter paper. To prevent distortion of the taste of the finished drink, the filters are bleached with oxygen. ‎
