CAFEC ABACA Trapezoid Filter Paper 103 paper filters have a trapezoidal shape. Size 103 is used to brew 5-7 servings of coffee in filter coffee makers with a 1x4 funnel (Moccamaster, Melitta, etc.), Cafec 103 pourovers, as well as in the Clever pourover. CAFEC filters have a “double-sided crepe”, created using the original paper manufacturing technology, thanks to which they can retain a sufficient layer of air between the paper and the pourover so that the coffee extract can pass through the filter material in the contact areas at an acceptable speed. It is made of non-wood ABACA material (Manila hemp) and wood pulp obtained on the basis of a reforestation project. Therefore, ABACA filter paper can be called environmentally friendly. It has good air permeability, strength and elasticity. ABACA fiber is four times stronger than regular cellulose fiber, while it is half as thin. ABACA material is also authorized by JHDC (Japan Hand-Drip Championship) as a high-quality filter paper. To prevent distortion of the taste of the finished drink, the filters are bleached using oxygen. ‎
