The coffee for this blend was collected on 2 farms in the largest coffee region of Colombia - Huila, near the highest volcano in the country - Nevado del Huila. The mountainous terrain has influenced the formation of fertile volcanic soils here and the considerable altitude of coffee growth with large temperature fluctuations during the day and night. This slows down the ripening of cherries provides rich, sweet and complex cups. Thanks to this, Huila is known for the quality of its coffee all over the world. ‎

Local lots regularly gain recognition at the Cup of Excellence, and in 2013 the region received Denomination of Origin status. Most farms in Huila are small, about 1-3 hectares. Basically, they have their own processing stations where the coffee is processed,ferment and wash, as well as infrastructure for drying coffee. ‎
