Gisanga coffee is grown in Mbuye Sector, Ruhango District in Rwanda's Southern Province. ‎
This territory is located at an altitude of 1650-1850 m.a.s.l. in the highlands of the Congo-Nile watershed. ‎

The conditions of this region are considered one of the most favorable for cultivation food crops in Rwanda. The local climate is characterized by an average annual temperature of 18°C - 20°C; 1100-1300 mm of precipitation. Soils are mainly volcanic Inceptisols, without accumulation of clays, iron oxide, aluminum oxide and organic substances. ‎




The Gisanga Processing Station is used by 850 local farmers of the Koakambu Cooperative who work with Tropic Coffee Ltd. ‎
