This coffee comes from Finca San Pedro, located in the Cajamarca region of northern Peru. Grown at altitudes between 900 and 1,400 meters above sea level, this lot consists of the Catimor variety, which has adapted well to the diverse microclimates of the area. ‎

After harvesting, the coffee undergoes a traditional washed process — the cherries are carefully depulped, fermented, washed, and then sun-dried. ‎

Cajamarca is one of Peru’s most important regions for specialty coffee cultivation. Its fertile volcanic soils, high elevations, and favorable microclimate — with moderate temperatures and consistent rainfall — create ideal conditions for the slow maturation of coffee cherries. These natural factors contribute to a cup profile with bright acidity, clean body, and rich fruity complexity. ‎

AMAZ Coffee is a Peruvian coffee producer and exporter based in the highlands of northern Cajamarca, specifically in the Chirinos district of San Ignacio province. Their coffees are processed using traditional washed and natural methods to highlight the unique flavor characteristics of the region’s terroirs. ‎
